My brother's visit

This weekend, I’m very exciting because my brother coming to Morgantown. He will come Friday night. We will have some activates like we will go to Morgantown mall to buy new sun glasses and we will go to Hollywood theater to watch a movie. After that, we are going to back home to cook some food for dinner, I think my brother good in cooking, and we will stay at home to watch America’s got talent. Next day, we are going to go to Olive Garden the Italian restaurant to eat lunch, I usually have a grilled salmon, but this time I will change my dish. This is the first time my brother visit Morgantown, I want to leave a good impression about the city in my brother’s mind, so I am going to show to him the good side of the city. By the way my brother named Ali.

Man of Steel

Last night I went out with my friends to watch a movie. The movie I watched was Man of Steel. It is about a young boy, his name is Clark. He is not from this Earth. He comes from Krypton planet, and he has extraordinary powers. His real parents sends him to Erath to protect him from the general of Krypton planet, General Zod. Then, his human parents finds out about Clark’s extraordinary powers and hides it from people. He grows up like a normal person and helps people without exposing his identity. After several years, the Erath gets an attack from General Zod, he wants to get back Clark’s special power, but Clark does not want to give up. After that, the two begin a battle, General Zod wants to destroy the Erath and build new Krypton, but Clark wants to save humans and make the Erath a beautiful place. Clark defeats General Zod and completes his life like a normal human being again. In my opinion, this movie is not the best movie I have watched, but it is entertaining to watch.

Weekend in Chicago

Last weekend, my friends and I went to Chicago by airplane. There were many places to visit, but we could not visit all the places because we did not have time. First, we went to Willis Tower, the Willis Tower is the second tallest building in the United States of America, it is one of the most popular tourist places in Chicago. Second, we went to Cloud Gate, the Cloud Gate is a mirror in form of a cloud. Some people call it Bean because it has the same shape of beans. Also, we went to Lincoln Park Zoo, the Lincoln Park Zoo is one of the oldest zoos in USA, it includes many of animal like large cats, bears, gorillas and monkeys. Finally, we went shopping on State Street, and I got some new cloths from there. I advise everybody to go and visit Chicago. In my opinion, I think Chicago is the second most beautiful city In United States of America after Las Vegas.

Daily Schedule

In this paragraph, I’m going to talk about my daily schedule. I start my day by waking up at seven and a half. First, I take a shower, brush my teeth, pray Al Fajer, and iron my cloths, then I get ready to go to the IEP. then, I attend my classes, my classes start from 9:30 to 2:45 on Mondays and Wednesdays. On Thursdays and Tuesdays, my classes start from 10:00 to 2:15, but on Fridays, my classes start from 9:30 to 12:30. After that, I usually go back home and eat light lunch. I often spend two hours a day studying. Next, I play video games for an hour a day. Finally, I clean my apartment and go to sleep.

On weekends, I start my day like I start my weekdays by taking a shower, brushing my teeth, etc. At four o’clock, I go to gym to work out. After that, my friends and I get together, watch a movie and eat a dinner. Finally, I go to bed sleep and have a nice dream.

Last week classes

Last week, I learned four lessons in IEP. And I will explain them in this blog. First of all, I learned about present progressive and simple present in my Grammar class, and I have test this coming Friday about this material. For me, it will be so easy because I already learned these in Blue A level. Secondly, I also learned some new words in Vocabulary class like (attack, boring, culture, danger, disappear, enemy, join, local, members, produce, rush, terrible, variety and weigh.) Third, I learned how to make short conversations, greeting and departure in Communication Skills class. We will have the first test on Communication Skills this coming Monday. The test’s format is about conversation between Mr. Pugh and I. Finally, how to write a topic sentence, controlling idea and setting are what I learned in writing class. In my opinion, those lessons are the first step to success and I think I’m going to use it a lot in WVU.

Study skills class

In this blog, I will talk about study skills class. On Tuesday’s class, we learned how to make schedule and organize our time. In my opinion, time management is important for our life, because if we waste our time, it would never comeback. Also, we learned how to organize our papers and divide the binder for each class. I think it will be a good step forward, because we have a lot of worksheet and handout. After that, we learned about how to start talking with the instructors, how to ask questions, and how to thank the instructors.

On Thursday’s class, we started with review from the previous class. Then, we took a pop quiz about “What should you do to make a perfect study place and what should you put in schedule.” Finally, she gave us a homework about types of intelligence that is to be turned in the next class.
